It's been a really exciting year for the t3rn community. From our strategic funding round to the many technical developments of the protocol, not to mention the growth in the community, there are a plethora of reasons to celebrate, despite the dire market conditions. Let’s go through the top highlights of 2022!

sub0, the must-attend event for developers interested in the Polkadot ecosystem, was held at the trendy LXFactory in Lisbon on November 28th and 29th. Team t3rn was on the scene, soaking up all the exciting developments and insights. Here are some of our thoughts and impressions.

It's been a busy few months at t3rn, with the team focused on building a robust multichain offering, growing our community and completing a successful Strategic Sale. Now, we are excited to share our strategy towards obtaining a Polkadot parachain.

A couple of weeks ago, we decided to do a runtime upgrade of our testnet on Rococo. We felt pretty confident about the upgrade. The upgrade transaction was included in block 845420, thereby updating the runtime. We expected the chain to continue producing blocks, but we were not so fortunate. And that was on a Friday afternoon. Yeah, great.

We are thrilled to announce that t3rn raised $6.5m in a strategic funding round led by Polychain Capital, the world’s premier digital asset investment fund, with participation from Blockchange, Lemniscap, D1 Ventures, Huobi Ventures, Figment Capital, Bware Labs, MEXC, Open Process Ventures, NetZero Capital, etc.

t3rn is a project that is all about community. We are building a solid and supportive group of like-minded individuals who are passionate about trustless technology and its potential to change the world. That's where our Conductors, the official ambassadors, come in, playing a vital role in growing our community.

‍It has already been a month since team t3rn attended DappCon22 in Berlin, so we wanted to make a quick summary of what happened and share some of our thoughts on the latest developments in the Ethereum ecosystem and beyond.

One of these new activities is t3rn Direct, our official AMA (Ask Me Anything). We had our first session on DATE, and we're planning to host these events regularly.

The goal of this presentation is to educate builders and programmers in the Polkadot ecosystem about XBI (Cross-chain Binary Interface), an XCM-based binary interface for smart contracts, developed by t3rn and funded with a grant by the Web3 Foundation.

As we progress towards Mainnet, and the t3rn ecosystem grows, we’d love to share with you all the roles involved in making t3rn, t3rn.

Have you ever wondered who is the team building the protocol, what motivates them and what is it like to work together? We take a deep dive into what makes t3rn tick.

t3rn is a smart contract hosting platform, allowing trustless cross-chain smart contract execution that guarantees success or full reversion of all execution effects in a multichain transaction.

XBI is the standard we are working on that primarily focuses on communicating between different virtual machines.

‍The Web3 Foundation has commissioned t3rn with a second grant to create XBI, an innovative XCM-based standard for smart contract communication.

The t3rn team is excited to announce the addition of three new members to the marketing team. With backgrounds in Defi, NFTs, Growth Hacking and strategy, these individuals bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team.
